Recording Engineer, John Wydrycs received a Grammy Award in 1999 for Album of the
Year for his work on Lauryn Hill’s “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill”. In 1993, Mr.
Wydrycs's services were requested to mix songs for Jodeci’s “Diary Of A Mad Band” with
producer Mr. Dalvin, and also to record basic tracks for an upcoming rapper named
Notorious BIG with the production group Trackmasters. Mr. Wydrycs’ client list and
credits include The Smashing Pumpkins, Diana King, Run-D.M.C., Aerosmith, N.B.C.,
Sting, K.D. Lang, Deborah Harry, Blondie, Richard Bona, The Go Go’s, Ted Nugent, Sadao
Watanabe, Brandy, DMX, Aaron Hall, Jodeci, Method Man, The Ramones, Chicago, the
Doobie Brothers, Jonathan Mover, Milos Dolezal, OUTKast, Snow, Mos Def, U.T.F.O.,
and Mo’ Thugs Family. Before becoming an independent contractor, Mr. Wydrycs served
as Chief Engineer of Chung King Studios after several years of being staff engineer and
assistant engineer. As a musician, John has studied at Queens College, playing trombone in
chamber music ensembles, and playing guitar in a band called “Bedlam” at clubs including
Long Island’s Sundance and Queens’ L’amour East. It was shortly after recording several
demos that he decided to get more involved in the production side of the business by taking
recording engineering classes at ARTI in Farmingdale, New York. He then enrolled at Full
Sail Center for the Media Arts in Florida in 1991 where he received a Specialized Associates
degree in the Recording Arts.
